This is the third review Gagit has done after enjoying a wonderful meal and friendship at a fellow Foodies,and it certainly was as enjoyable as the others.Foodiechic  and I join , CB and Leila Gaines,the Diva ,and  two of there Foodie friends from Ft. Lauderdale ,David and Rae Ann  and of course, Maxi. We start the night toasting  our  night in typical French style,Champagne for most ,Ricard for Leila and myself, Sante’.

We all sit down to enjoy the meal and have in front of us a glass of ’07 La Playa Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc ,shown,to  accompany the first course.We are served grilled Raddichio, served with a reduction of  Balsamic   ,grilled Figs, and the centerpiece , Fois Gras Pate,all shown .We are also served  wonderful French Baquette from Croissant’Time in Fort Lauderdale to spread the Fois Gras on.  This was a perfect starter , the sweetness of the wine  was a perfect marriage for the food, and images of Paris came to mind with each bite.

The main is now ready ,Diva  and Leila’s collaboration of Boulliabaise Marseillaise.The soup is so full of wonderful fish, rock Shrimp,Gulf Shrimp,and Mussels all shown above,and of course the total product with its luscious broth, also shown.Along with the Boulliabaise, we are served boiled Potato with Aioli, grilled Baquette,and of course Roux and Aioli to add as each  one chose,all shown. The Boulliabaise was served with a wonderful  Rose from Provence, Chateau Maime,a wonderful dry Rose but yet perfect to enhance the taste of the broth,shown in the Magnum bottle . The wine was purchased by both myself and CB at the Wine Boutique separately after we told Eddy that it was to accompany Bouliallbaise,what a perfect choice.

We are now served dessert , Leila’s homemade explosion Almond Cake ,as shown, and pure Marzipan to the taste. With the cake,’07  Sauterne Chateau Myrat , of course glass shown, again from the Wine Boutique and perfect for the dessert.

Let the Truth be Told,I knew this night was going to be a great Foodie experience but it turned out even more. We met new friends , we enjoyed the ones we knew and we did not have to fly to France to enjoy the best of that  country, only had to drive to Surfside.Thank you again, Leila and CB for being such gracious hosts and to you Diva for being Diva.
