Uptown Sushi

Gagit and Foodiechic in Houston visiting the Doctor and  Bosslady, lol.Although, the Doctor really does not enjoy eating out we decide to meet at this convenient Uptown restaurant for our last night in Houston. We enter this chic uptown restaurant and are  seated quite quickly on this busy Saturday night. The restaurant is very spacious, decorated very tastefully, and the comfortable baquette we are seated at is perfect for our visit. Our server for the Jonathan, shown above, introduces himself and takes our drink orders, vodka drinks all around tonight.The drinks come and we order some Edamame as we study the menu.

A lot of choices and Jonathan lets us go slowly and enjoy the food and company . The Bosslady and myself start with a Seaweed salad with hot oil ,shown ,and perfectly fresh and Foodiechic and the Doctor have the house salad with ginger sauce, also fresh and tasty. I start off with some Sashimi ; Tuna. spicy Tuna,Clam, and Eel as shown,and tasting as fresh as it looks.I also have an order of Ika  on a cucumber,as shown,and again as fresh as one expects in a quality restaurant.The others order  Black Cod and miso, and a blackened Snapper, both cooked perfectly ,as well as Vegetable Tempura,as shown, and cooked perfectly. I end my main with the Baked Pink Scallopswith Japanese mayo and masanga, shown, very plump and tasty.

It is now 2 hours later, Jonathan has let us enjoy our food and conversation even on this busy night,and suggests dessert. The Doctor perks up now for i believe he only came for dessert, he orders both the Cheesecake Tempura,shown, and the Banana Tempura, I taste both but all to sweet for me but perfect for the rest of the table.

Let the Truth be Told, i have gone to many restaurants of this type in the United States including my local favorite Oshi Thai but this one was what all should try to duplicate. This restaurant serves not only fresh and a wide variety of fish and flavors at a reasonable price but a chic atmosphere where you feel you are also chic. The server Jonathan , also made this experience one can recommend to others and of course want to return again.
