Baselworld 2009

This is Gagit’s 31st Baselworld and he would like to share his foodie experiences with pictures of this trip with all of you.Upon arriving , Gagit always checks in to the Three Kings and goes to the Marketplaza for lunch. On his way he walks by Bachmann the chocolatier ,and as is seen in the window ,Easter chocolate displayed in all its finest. Now , after a short walk I am at the market and view the seasonally fantastic white Asperagus in all its natural splendor.Lunch is a no choice Bratwurst on a plate with mustard and a roll on the side, today I also indulge in a Mergez sausage ,spicy but tasty ,a perfect 5 lunch.
The night before the show tradition Jeffrey’s Thai, our special table, buckets of Singha, and of course the best Tom Yung Kung soup with shrimp.The first night and we entertain at the Brasserie at the Three Kings,the Frois Gras is shown but the meal is perfect and reasonable by Three King standards,lol.
It is now Saturday night ,the traditional night at Donati’s with the Fisherman and crew, this year Fisherman Junior joins us.Our waiter of course Giovionni after all 31 years. We order and eat our traditional dinner, white Asperagus with Morels and then followed by Sole Florentine, all shown above. Two more trips to Donati,Shrimp Picanti,Ravioli Picanti, with Potato wow, and mains of Sole with Morels and Veal with Morels.
On the way home a Bacon sandwich with brown gravy at the airport , the trip is over ,now the South Beach Diet.
