Cuisine-Dim Sum

The day was really special,a chance to sample the Dim Sum at Hakkasan with Foodiechic and 4theloveoffood.We were given the full attention by Alex the manager, see above.Alex has been with Hakkasan from its inception in London, and today introduced us to his personal favorites ,although the total menu is far from complete. We start out with a Won Ton Noodle Soup, shown above, and the Sweet and Sour Soup which was perfect for this cold day in Miami. The parade of Dim Sum now begins and each dish is shown above but the taste and flavors cannot even be appreciated by the pictures. The fresh ingredients in each dish enhanced all the flavors and the homemade pasta unreal.

The Har Agu, dumpling with Shrimp so fresh, the Sein Long Bun, with the soup oozing out of the dumplings. This was a dumpling that I have seen Anthony Bourdain eat and was hoping that I could find in Miami. The  Char Sui Bao with pork sweet and flavorful, although I am not a fan.The hand pulled noodles with Mushroom was my next favorite to the Soup Noodles and next time have to try the shrimp or pork versions.  The next course, Soy Chicken as moist and flavorful as  we could imagine.Alex has sent out more,Tofu Claypot with Eggplant and Mushroom. The Tofu was as tasty as I have ever had.The French Beans, Haricot, with mushrooms and dried Shrimp to add just enough bite and crunch to the plate. The last course Mushroom Pasta ,with of course perfectly cooked Mushroom Noodles.

Alex, does not want us  to leave without dessert and he graciously sends over two desserts, a chocolate Fondant,to make Raymond Blanc proud with Banana ice cream and PassionFruit Sorbet with a Vanilla Cheesecake. We finish with there own blend of espresso  and tea and we really cannot believe we are in Miami for Dim Sum,this is China in Miami.

Let the Truth be Told, I have been a Dim Sum fan of Tropical Chinese. After ,eating Dim Sum at Hakkasan,I am still a fan of Tropical Chinese but Hakkasan is  another experience.  .Hakkasan is not only  a new addition to the Dim Sum scene in Miami,it is a new addition to the world class food and service experience in Miami and Foodiechic, 4theloveoffood ,and I cannot wait to go back, hopefully with all our Foodiefriends next time.Thank you Alex and Ricardo, see you soon.
