,”La Clara”,”Gran Via De Les Cortes C 442″,”Barcelona, Spain”,”
A night for upscale Tapas and La Clara is recommended by the New York Times, lets check there review out.We enter this bright modern restaurant and luckily are seated in a non smoking area as requested. It is not that crowded so are a little leery on what to expect. The waiter takes are wine order , vino blanco similar to wines we have had on our trip but at resonable prices The Pazo de Senorans is always safe choice at about 20 euro a bottle.Tapas ia our choice all the way,a cod cervice served on tomato, a real fresh tasting hit; standard cod croquettes, so so;pasta with shrimp , spicy and flavorful; a vegetable paella; the hit of the night and for me the meat eater in the crowd, kid chops,a little scrawny but flavorful;a dessert to share Tiramisu, spanish style and espresso all for $100 a person, not unresonable in Spain . The service was good , waiter was friendly, and Let the Truth Be Told it was above average and we did come to Spain to eat above average and expected the New York Times to recommend above average and they did with La Clara.
