Cuisine-Latinburger and Tacos
Ok, The truck is coming,ErGagit just as you requested, corner of 125 and Biscayne between 5 and 7pm.Yes, that was the twitter message I received New Years Eve,what a good New Years present.Foodichic and I know we have to be there despite the cold and rain.We pull up to the Truck as shown above, and there is a good size line, must be good. I go to the back of the truck and say hello to the guys, shown,Solomon and Robert the Counterman. They tell me so graciously to look around, take pictures, and the head Twitterer will be back soon to tell me more. As, I wait .I order two,Latinburgers ,a pork Taco, and some Fries .
The head Twitterer,Peter arrives and I thank him for this New Years treat and wish him well in this venture as we discuss his philosophy of serving this food with only the best ingredients and personal service unlike fast food Burger joints. The talk though is in the eating and the food is now ready .It is wrapped to go but Peter suggested we sit and eat it in the car rather wait til we get home and it is not so hot. We listen but rather enjoy driving in my nice leather seats rather than eating on them.In the day time it would be easier to eat outside .We unwrapped the Burger as shown, and it is cooked medium rare as ordered, and is a combination of chuck, sirloin, chorizo meat, oaxaco cheese, carmalized onions and jalapenos, with the red pepper sauce. It is two thin patties ,tasty, cooked on hot stove as shown, but the bun was starting to get soggy . I can picture this even worse on taking it home .The Bun a special of LatinBurger would have been perfect but the softness of the liquid really does not enhance the Burger.
We finish the Burgers and move on to the Pulled Pork Taco, and even the car is not really a Taco Palace ,the Taco, shown, was a wow dish only $2.50. The BBQ flavor was perfection, and the avacados, onions, and cilantro ingredients were a perfect enhancement of the wrapper and meat. The gauchup sauce I read about was not served and I really would not want to eat in my car anyway. We now take a taste of the Fries but the seasoning and salt overpowered the taste to the point that one each was enough. I guess the sauce would help but not in my car.
Let the Truth be Told, I think LatinBurger is a new wave of eating comfort in Miami. The Twitterer and the guys working on it are totally devoted to serving the customer as an individual rather than at a fast food joint. The food quality has that same goal. However, I must say that I do not see the Burger as a take home dish but one that has to be eaten unwrapped to really enjoy the quality of the product.I hope on the next trip they will come early so I can eat it as it comes off the stove and enjoy all the quality of the product. However, if it comes by today I will order all 3 Tacos and many more,

I’m kind of glad the Latin Burger hasn’t made up to Boynton Beach. It’ll keep me on my diet onw day longer…because there’s no way I could resist it!
