Cuisine-Modern American

Location-130 N.E.40th, Design District, Miami, Fl.

The Gagit’s have visited Michael’s many times and he has reviewed it at least 3 times, but thisis  the first time we have enjoyed there newly added Brunch. The Gagit’s are invited this day by Russianfoodie and her husband Brooklyn Boy and we are joined by Tennischic to drink and be merry. We are seated outside as requested ,and with the weather 80 degrees what could go wrong? We are served this day by Michael, not as in Schwartz, but a professional trained by his staff.I will not describe any further but just show 12 pictures of our brunch experience, all shown above.Drinks, first, Foodiechic, Heirloom Tomato Bloody Mary ,and Tennischic and Russianfoodie , Cabretta:Champagne, soda water and watermelon juice, both shown in same picture.I choose a Bloody Mary shooter with Pabst Beer chaser ,shown alone.Coffee was drunk by Brooklyn Boy the designated driver of the day.

Let the meal begin,Wood Roasted Moulard Duck Egg,in spicy chipolte,Duck cracklings with queso fresco, shown, and a Wood roasted Double Yolk Egg with aged guyrere, roasted tomato, chives, sourdough Crostini.Wood roasted Brusells Sprouts with panceta  and grilled Asperagus with shaved Parmagean , both shown and perfect.Breakfast Pizza with bacon, egg, green onion and Jack Cheese , next to Skirt Steak and organic scrambled Eggs ,and Pork Shoulder and grits, all three shown. The dish I was waiting for the most on the menu and shown seperately, Buffalo Froglegs, home made hot sauce ,blue cheese and they tasted as if they jumped right into the frying pan, they were so fresh and tender. We had some walnut-raisin toast  to accompany these dishes.

The sweet, two mains, lemon Ricotta Pancakes, blueberry sauce and wood oven 9 grain Pancake with maple syrup, both shown. And last but not least, a Red Velvet  cupcake that I admit was better than Sprinkles and Heddy’s Crumb Cake, shown, and wow we are through eating but thinking of our next trip to try some more .

Let the Truth Be told,a 5 Star Brunch ,the end.
